About the Author
Beckie Gladfelter was 40 when diagnosed with breast cancer and required surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. She wanted a book to help her young children understand the stages of her treatment in a child-friendly manner. "My Warrior Mommy: Our Breast Cancer Journey" was written throughout her treatment based on questions and conversations with her children for families who need to explain this difficult topic to their children.
About the Illustrator
Sandi Foraci first captured the author's wedding with gorgeous photographs before the two reunited for "My Warrior Mommy: Our Breast Cancer Journey." Sandi drew beautiful illustrations from stories Beckie told her and from photographic inspirations of Beckie and her loving family. Sandi's illustrations will help children better understand the stages of their mother's treatment.
